Nerima-kasugacho Station (練馬春日町)
E37 opened on 10 December 1991 with the first section of what was then Toei Line 12, the stretch that gave this part of Nerima its first railway of any kind; the line only took the name Oedo Line on 20 April 2000. During construction the station was to be called simply Kasugacho, and the ward name was attached before it opened.
Underground it is as simple as the Oedo Line gets — one island platform, two tracks, three entrances — with platform doors added on 22 December 2012. What distinguishes Nerima-kasugacho is above the ticket hall rather than below it: the Kanpachi-dori crossing at street level is a recognized place to see Mount Fuji from the road, and the ward lists the view among its chosen local scenes. Hikarigaoka, the end of the line, and Toshimaen are the neighboring stations.
Finding Nerima-kasugacho on the signs
Every line gives the station its own letter-and-number code. You never have to read the Japanese name to find the right platform.
Station numbers at Nerima-kasugacho
Tokyo signposts every platform, exit and train door with a letter and a two-digit number. Matching the number is faster than reading the name — and it is what you will see on the map, in announcements and on the platform edge.

Frequently asked questions
From the street above it, yes. The Kanpachi-dori crossing over the station is known locally as a spot where Mount Fuji is visible along the road, and Nerima ward includes the view in its list of special local scenes. Nothing is visible from the platform, which is underground.
It opened on 10 December 1991, in the first section of the line, which was then called Toei Line 12 and was renamed the Oedo Line on 20 April 2000. Platform doors were fitted much later, coming into use on 22 December 2012.
